Adanna Duru

Adanna Duru is a California Pop/R&B artist with a big heart and even larger aspirations. Her music career first started singing as she was heard singing in her car seat at only 18 months old. Needless to say, music is in Adanna's blood. At the age of 11, Adanna could be seen performing at small venues near her hometown. Adanna won many local vocal competitions during this time. Then, in 2012, 15-year old Adanna secured a spot on The Voice, Season 3, with Adam Levine. Shortly after, Adanna was eliminated, but continued to build her brand as a pop artist. 


After her debut on The Voice, Adanna recorded covers of popular songs for her YouTube channel. For the next year, Adanna also performed with her band at legendary venues such as The House of Blues, Anaheim. Adanna showed much professionalism and gained more experience prior to auditioning for and being accepted onto Season 14 of American Idol. Adanna made it all the way to the Top 10 in 2015.


Since Idol, Adanna gained many fans and announced the release of her Pop/R&B mixtape, "Exhibit A", in March of 2016. On August 1st, 2016, the lead single from "Exhibit A" debuted in the Top 20 songs on the “Commercial Pop Club Charts” for Music Week in the UK. The song, "Seal It With A Kiss," was produced by hit producer Liam Keegan. 


Adanna’s 2017 debut EP, "Stardive" has garnered support from major publications including Earmilk, C-Heads Magazine, RnBass, AXS, and more. Adanna’s next EP, "Manic Pixie Dreamgirl", was premiered via LA Weekly in July of 2018. Since, the critically acclaimed record caught the attention of Shon Magazine and others. To her excitement, her first single of 2019, "King," caught the attention of The Fader. Only a few months later, Buzzfeed featured Adanna in an article titled "15 Songs Released In The Past Month That I Refuse To Let You Sleep On" for her 2019 single “Trip.” Music is forever in the making with Adanna.
